Quick thoughts on the NuLakotas last round:
Jordan - Least Valuable Player of the round. He expedited the Orange-Pink clash on this tribe, and made himself the #1 target in the process by "testing" Nolan's trust and blindsiding Knight-Ricky-DannyK in order to execute a mediocre-to-bad voting plan. In the segments of the tribe calls I've gotten to watch, I think Jordan has been pretty hypocritical - referring to people like Knight and Nolan as sketchy, when he's the objectively-sketchiest person on the tribe. It's hard to have both (1) no win equity whatsoever and (2) a high likelihood of getting voted out at the next tribal, but he's found a way to do it. That being said, with two idols on his side, I think he's decently likely to reach his full potential in this game...as a losing finalist.
TSL - To prove that I'm not just a blind Nolan stan, I thought TSL was great as usual here. From my understanding, Jordan went rogue with his idea to "test" Nolan's trust before the vote so I don't fault her for that. And I like the aggressiveness to go after Nolan rather than capitulating to an "easy vote" in DannyB that wasn't necessarily in her best game interest. Classic TSL. As I said above, the plan wasn't executed well so I dock her points insofar as she was responsible for that part, but the general idea to push for a Nolan boot was excellent on her part. The only reason to be pessimistic about her outlook is that her allies are much worse in this game than in all the other games that TSL has ripped through this year.
Nolan - Further proving that I'm not just a blind Nolan stan, I thought Nolan had a poor round as well. He was veryyyy well-positioned on this tribe until Jordan "tested" him, and Nolan could have handled the fallout better. His main mistake seemed to be explicitly drawing a line against Jordan and TSL in the ensuing tribe call, which rightfully set TSL on the warpath against him. I feel like if and when the new Jordan-TSL-Mojo group idol out someone on the other side, they'll take a shot at a bigger target than Nolan, but we'll see. If they do, then Nolan might still be in a decent spot.
Ricky - I think Ricky is so well-spoken and I like how reasonable he comes across even in heated arguments. I suppose it can come across condescending at times, but imo he's been the "winner", or at least on the winning side, of all these tribe calls. If he can fade getting idoled out, he's one of our top contenders.
Danny K - This felt like a breakout round for him. In a round where a lot of people stumbled, he played near-perfectly. He's UTR, but he speaks up enough during tribe calls, etc. that it's not blatant to everyone else that he's hiding behind others. He's also shown high self-awareness + great reads on the game in his confessionals.
Knight - Just the ultimate cb, like, he has no idea how much damage control I had to do Knight had a fine round I guess
Mojo - Even if idols weren't a factor, he'd be decently positioned to re-integrate into the game after a Jordan boot. With idols taken into consideration, Mojo is going to be a frisky player moving forward - especially if he can reunite with Aubra.
Jake - He thinks he's in a great spot, but even the people that he's working with see him as a loose cannon. I respect the passion though; his last set of confessionals were excellent.
